Masanganya is one of the Health Facility (a Dispensary) within the CLM project area, it is located 45 kms west of Kisarawe district head quarter. The dispensary offers among other services the CTC, it serves the population of about 5,401 people and 363 persons living with HIV/AIDS. The approach used by CLM project has significantly improved relationship between HF staff and service recipients.

The use of data/information collected through standardized tools and the use of suggestion boxes have helped to bring together representatives of the community (CLM – Members), HF staff and Local authorities to discuss and find solutions to the challenges affecting health service delivery. Mr. Khasim Jongo a CLM member from Masanganya village had this to say after quarterly consultative meeting held at Masanganya Dispensary on 26th January 2022.

……… Thanks to the CLM project, the situation was not like what we see today, we did not have a chance like this, to sit together with service providers, Health Committee members and the local authorities to discuss people’s opinions and agree way forward to solve challenges affecting health service delivery. There was a curtain between Health staff and service recipients. Accountability have increased to local authorities and service providers, likewise HF staffs are friendlier. He requested if possible to add more community representatives both women and men to the meetings. I am worried if this activity will continue after CLM project comes to an end in April 2022…………”
